Need to simplify large data sets? Studying chemometrics, psychometrics, spectroscopy? Developing opinion surveys or psychological tests? With this software, you can perform sophisticated factor analyses in your Excel spreadsheet. The package includes accurate calculation of correlation arrays, principal axes and components, Minres factor extraction, Varimax, Harris-Kaiser Orthoblique, Oblisim and Primary Product Functionplane rotations, factor score computations and lots more. The routines that carry out the analyses are written in Fortran, and are available for direct access at the command line. These Fortran routines can handle problems of virtually unlimited size. They are called from within Excel using the VBA macro language, which makes their functionality seamlessly available to Excel users. The routines, written by the originator of the Functionplane method of rotation, are the same ones that have found their way into advanced packages used in research universities, e.g., the Numerical Taxonomy Systems Package. If you want to do factor analysis and are comfortable with Excel, this is the software you need. It comes with a detailed Excel example, all source code (both Fortran and VBA), and executable modules.
